  • Spotify makes a deal to convert exclusive podcasts into TV shows. Spotify’s new partner Chernin Entertainment is the company behind New Girl, which we have all been unashamedly binging since it appeared on Netflix. Chernin will have exclusive access and first dibs on Spotify podcasts and whether they will be converted into a TV series or movie. Podcasts are a cheap and effective way of telling a story and getting it out there. Who knows whose podcast might get picked up next?!

  • Artists join call-to-arms for crew support. Remember back in the good ol’ pre-COVID days when you could go to a gig and the sound would be great, the lighting would just happen and the instruments would appear and disappear on command?
