  • Facebook has launched ‘Facebook Business Suite’, an all-in-one management tool for Facebook and Instagram. The new tool aims to make it easier for small businesses to manage their social media presence across both of the apps. The Business Suite platform enables users to post to both platforms at the same time, have all direct messages, notifications and alerts in the one location and gain insights for both platforms. This one-stop-shop will no doubt be beneficial to small business owners using Instagram and Facebook to promote their products and services.

  • The Victorian Government has revealed the first instalment of its plan to support local live music venues which have been closed since March. $9 million in urgent funding has been divided across 106 live music venues including the Northcote Social Club, 170 Russell, The Corner, The Tote and many more. This funding comes at a time where these venues are desperate for funds to cover overheads and also implement COVIDSafe measures for their eventual return. There will also be grants of between $4,000 and $50,000 for artists, managers, promoters, bookers, road crew and more to help create new work opportunities and to ensure COVIDSafety operating systems. This is part of the $90 million investment to help the music industry survive the impacts of the pandemic.
